| How can I be sure about the quality and the accuracy of the transcript? |
|
|
In order to ensure excellent accuracy of the transcripts, Office Support is using a second employee (different from the person who originally transcribed the audio), who will listen to the sound and proofread all transcripts, making all necessary corrections or additions. In case of multiple speakers, some voices may shadow the voices of others or there may also be smaller groups of people discussing in parallel to others. In such cases we try our best to transcribe as much as possible of the sound, but our first priority is the main speaker or the voices that are more audible. In such cases, we usually use *** to indicate that there may be some words missing, accompanied by the respective comment (e.g. mobile phone static / speaker inaudible / out of mike / overlapping voices). What makes Office Support different from its competition is that the final transcript is close to 100% of accuracy. With the exception of cases where the quality of the sound does not help us avoid asterisks, the transcript can be given for publication as delivered. If you know ahead of time that the transcript will be published, it would be useful to let us know, so that we can edit any inconsistencies in the text (such as plural-singular e.t.c.). |
